Why Is Blogging The Best of All Side Hustles in 2024?

In the present high-paced world, a single income stream is not enough to have a quality life. It’s a well-said quote that you must have seven sources of revenue to have a financially strong lifestyle.

In several cases now, jobs don’t provide self-satisfaction, even if they are financially very promising. We don’t experience the thrill and sense of achievement in jobs, so we want something of our own.

As a result, people look for side hustles.

Some of the common side hustles we have in 2024 are:

  1. Freelancing your skills
  2. Starting a blogging site
  3. Starting a YouTube channel
  4. Working as a virtual assistant
  5. Setting up an eCommerce store
  6. Drop-shipping products
  7. High-ticket affiliate marketing
  8. Network marketing
  9. Investing in stocks
  10. Becoming a social media influencer

Etc.

This list can go even longer.

Blogging has been at the top of this list for years. Millions of people in the world are already experiencing the thrills of blogging, along with high monthly passive or active income from their blogs.

I personally love YouTube the most. My second favorite is stock investment. But yet, I am blogging instead of my first two favorites.

In this article, I will share with you a few of my arguments on why blogging is the best of all side hustles for a beginner. You may or may not agree with my opinions, but all my points are based on my experience.

Reason #1: Its flexible

Blogging is a very flexible side hustle.

But, what does it mean? And why does flexibility even matter for a side hustler?

Flexibility is a three-aspect context: time, effort, and money.

As a side hustler, you may not have full time to work on your side hustle. Plus, anyone investing their full-time effort in their job may feel exhausted enough to work extra on their side hustle. Similarly, some side hustlers have less money while others have more to invest. Fortunately, blogging is flexible in all these aspects and works for everyone.

Other options, like freelancing, virtual assistants, eCommerce stores, drop shipping, etc., have strict deadlines for the clients or customers to fulfill. Hence, these tight deadlines demand dedicated time and effort, which may not be possible due to a full-time job for a side hustler.

Reason #2: Blogging is very dynamic

No matter which field of education or profession you belong to, blogging has full scope for you.

You may be a sportsperson, a passionate cook, or just a high school student; blogging fits very well in its full form. A person who is good at singing or dancing can start blogging in that niche without quitting their interest.

On the contrary, investing in stocks is limited to only those who are financially educated and know about stocks and investment tips. Not all niches have the same demand for virtual assistants, so you have to learn those specific skills before you start as a virtual assistant or as a freelancer.

But blogging gives importance to your niche and your interests, and you can go successfully far in any niche.

Reason #3: Low Investment

Blogging can be started at a budget equal to the cost of 10 pizzas for a year. Most of the blogging resources are free, except for the few essential ones. For example, you need to invest in good hosting to ensure your downtime, speed, and SSL are all doing great.

I recommend that you try Hostinger hosting for your blog. You get SSL, domain name, professional email, weekly or daily backup, etc., in the same plan, all at once.

Reason #4: Easy to Learn

Learning to blog is much easier than learning to grow your YouTube channel, drop-shipping, stock marketing, etc. When I started my first blog, it took me just a few months to absorb the concept of blogging. Plus, I learned everything on my own without any guide or mentor.

With the blogging mentorship program, I have made it possible for any beginner to learn the entire process of blogging in less than 10 hours. And, if you start your blog along with learning, then 15 days are more than enough to grasp all the basic concepts.

Reason #5: No Age Barrier

There is no limitation on age. Even a school-going student can start a blog in his or her niche of interest, and retired parents can also start blogging.

Other side hustles, such as YouTube channels, podcasting, and freelancing, offer a similar level of freedom with age; most others, such as starting a car washing service, babysitting, etc., don’t allow this.

Reason #6: Limitless Growth

Blogging is an unbounded side hustle. Based on your potential and ability to rise, you can earn unbelievable fame and money from blogging. Similar is possible with YouTube and even with Instagram influencers or podcasts.

But I have felt that most side hustlers start with blogging and expand to YouTube, podcasts, or business later. Blogging is an easy step to start for many.

Reason #7: 2024 is the start of AI Era, hence, New Demand of content

2023 is the year of artificial intelligence. Whereas, 2024 is going to be the turning point for humanity.

The internet will be divided into two categories: human content and AI content. Both will impact the businesses. Both will survive, and there will always be space for both. But, during the process, turmoil is obvious.

A new demand for human-created content will emerge to normalise the trending AI content. And there are niches where AI content seems very unreal, no matter how advanced these AI tools become.

For example, parenting content, self-help and healing content, lifestyle, fashion, spirituality, medicine, etc. are things that come from human experience. Hence, people on Google will look for human-created content rather than AI ones.

If people want it, how can Google ignore people’s choices?

Ultimately, Google will also prioritize human-created content.

Additionally, a whole new niche of AI tools and AI technology is on the market. Along with the metaverse, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. There are huge possibilities for your blogging in these niches.

Cons of blogging as a side hustle

Blogging has no fixed business model in which you start generating X amount of revenue after you put in certain amounts of effort and money. Instead, it’s more like water. You could turn into anything you want, and therefore you have to show your creativity, research skills, and thinking ability to shape your blogging into a profitable business model.

Several blogging beginners fail to achieve such a transformation. They never develop a clear business model for their blogging website, hence fail.

Well! In my mentorship program, I stress this aspect from the start. So, we could prevent you from failure.

If you have a clear mission and purpose statement, you are less likely to be lost.

Wrapping up

With all these arguments, you may agree with me that blogging is the best of all side hustles to start. However, I do not want you to start your journey under the influence of my arguments.

Listen to your inner voice. Identify your skills and interests. Cross-check your time and resource availability, and then start planning your side hustle.

My best wishes to you.
